Smarter vehicle design and use of domestically-sourced fuels produced from renewable energy can help drastically reduce our dependence on foreign oil, insulate our economy from oil-based market spikes, protect our children's health from air pollution, and meet the challenge of global warming.

The Campaign for a New Energy Economy is working to ensure that vehicles in New Mexico are 40% cleaner and more efficient by 2020. There are many policy options that can help us meet that goal, including a stronger Renewable Fuels Standards, Tax Incentives, and Rebates.
