Global Warming will have a significant impact on ski areas in the form of higher temperatures, less snow/more rain, and earlier melt-off. Regional Development Corporation is collaborating with the Natural Resource Defense Council, New Energy Economy and Ski New Mexico to develop a strategy for engaging New Mexico's ski areas in implementing energy efficiency and renewable energy measures, and addressing overall carbon reduction in New Mexico.
